why has it taken soooo long to upload three photos! As I was saying, if you know of anyone who has a love of a particular pair (or even a single shoe) of shoes, no matter how tatty, worn or plain crazy...point them in my direction.

I have completed three commissions within the last few months and am now beginning to think about my february 2012 exhibition at Ludus. If anyone out there wants a painting of their shoes doing please let me know...I am truly getting into this.

Commission of 'First Shoes'

I will upload a series of 'work in progress' photo's of my commission 'First Shoes' I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out; more importantly so was the person who commissioned it!
Bad news on the exhibition front. So many Art Galleries are council subsidised and the funding is being chopped, which puts several respected outlets at risk. PAD in Preston is for the chop. The funding of the LAN (Lancashire Artists network) has also been withdrawn...grim times...never mind, I will keep on keeping on.

Little Miss Shoes

Both my exhibitions are finished and the next isn't until Sept - December in Accrington. I am also waiting to heat from PAD in Preston about an exhibition for the new year, but they are not prepared to commit until council funding is approved...um might be a problem is this current financial climate.

All the work I have sold or had commissioned has been for shoes and to continue I am now targeting shoes manufacturers and select retail outlets. Let me know of anyone who wants a pair of shoes painted. Children's first shoes, wedding shoes, whatever...I am quite happy to do a painting of an old pair of wellies!

This is the rough layout for my latest commission...three pairs of start-rite 'first shoes' all from the same family and the same style and size!
